As the title suggest, it is meant for folks who have invoked AC21 (1-140 approved, I-485 filed & pending more than 6 months, job desc almost similar) successfully and unsuccessfully.
If you have successfully transferred, can you comment on the experience, any denial notices that you had to overcome? Have you got the green card finally?
If unsuccessful, what issues are you facing? Is there some work around or going back to desh is the only option?

Hello,
First, your international student adviser, should have notified you that your I-20 was about to expire. This is what USCIS requires them to do. Actually the SEVIS system automatically notifies IS advisers about I-20 expiring. Now, having said that, no, you cannot work. You need to apply for reinstatement and wait until it gets approved. Reinstatement into F-1 are very difficult as you need to show that you fell out of status because of circumstances beyond your control. You will probably need to argue that your adviser had failed to notify you and that you kept attending school and it was only a few days of out of status.

A friend of mine has PhD in aeronautics from a top tier university here in US. He will be soon starting teaching in a university and planning to file his GC under EB-1.
Are there any risks in getting I-140 approved under EB-1? or just having a PhD does not automatically qualify anyone under EB-1 category.?
Since he is born in India so reluctant to file under EB-2 due to endless wait.
Depends on whether the role for which he is applying requires a PhD or not. Once again, consult a good lawyer.

Thanks. Basically we are trying our options and chances to see if it is possible to work towards a fellowship based on the current restrogressed scenerio. Would any of them have handled such scenerios, I guess Khanna's office would be best option ??? Stephen Perlitsh seems to have answers to all kinds of questions but he is difficult to access.

Current Imiigration status:
Worked for compny A almost 5 years. Company-A did labor, 140 and 485. 140 approvd and 485 pending over 2 years.
Last 6 months working for company B on EAD. Didn't do AC21. Good relationship with company A and they will never revoke approved 140. They will help if any issues come in future.
Have approved H1B for company-A since dec 2010 and stamped in passport.
My questions:
1- If 485 get denied, can I go to company-A and start working on approved H1B
2- Also, can I use approved 140 at company A (even 485 denied, since not working at A) to extend H1B for 3 years.

You are currently not eligible for I-140 premium processing. However, I-140 premium processing will soon be available to everyone by end of summer. This information is from recent AILA convention with USCIS and DOS officials as quoted in murty bulletin

Ok, to make things complex,
Here is my sample. I just have a TextBox and Label - both bound to a FriendsName Class which implements INotifyPropertyChanged
I have set the UpdateSourceTrigger to PropertyChanged and thus whenever I type something in the TextBox, my Label gets updated then and there.
Now, What I want to do is, I want to have a Button, say Update and when I click that , the data should update the source and thus result the change in the Label. So, its like, after I complete typing in the TextBox, click on the Update Button, the Label should not be updated with the value :D
Hope I am clear :(

I'm trying to schedule an appointment for non-immigrant visa in August/September timeframe from last one week without any success. After filling the forms, and continuing further for checking the available dates, I get a message saying : " Interview appointments not currently available, please check back in 24 hours. "
I would really appreciate if you can educate me of what I might be doing wrong.

Since you have been given stock, I am assuming that your company is an incorporated company. That means your liability is strictly limited to the amount of money that you invested in buying the stock as long you don't do any fraud.

Thanks. I like your idea;A better place for that would be any country where expatriates work in the Middle East ( Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman etc)
I think if there is no time limit ( currently 6 years) on h1 visa and there are 3 yr extensions, it will make all of our lives so much easier.
There will be no hurry to apply for GCs and those who really want to stay in US forever will apply, thus reducing all this backlogs too.
Any thoughts.
