Is there anything like this, if yes can you throw some light on it.
As far as I know for any L1 to become H1 needs to apply in the new H1 quota.
L1A is for managers and you actually have to work atleast one year outside the US to apply for a GC (L1A - GC)
L1B is most commonly used (abused). There is no minimum required pay and has no cap. Moving from L1B to H1b is a nightmare.

The icons can all be found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v7.0\Icons
You can just drag and drop the icon you want into Blend or explicitly add it via the Projects panel :)
Your question on connecting to an XML data source is interesting because there are several ways of doing this. One approach is by using Linq and just parsing the output.

* How do I use a wp7 icon (from the icon pack) as a clickable button? I have an input search TextBox, but instead of using a simple button control (for the click event) I would like to use the magnifying glass icon as the search button --something similar to how Bing (on WP7) uses the mic in the search box. How can I accomplish this?

Since on 2nd July they said they will reject the AOS application, what if they would have done some rejection during that time, and by the time July filers get their application back, it is after 17th of August. In that circumstance, can you send the AOS application back arguing USCIS's mistake and ask them to take it back after 08/17 and would they take it back politely or reject it again.

Hi Everyone
I got an RFE for my I140 filed in September 2006. They asked me to show my W2 for 2006 and also show that the employer had the ability to pay the offered wage in case my W2 is less than the offered wage.
My W2 has 8k less than the offered wage. My company has not yet filed 2006 Taxes. Can you tell me whats the best thing to do? My employer has good revenue, but I guess he has been showing a net loss every year.
Please help me out. Tell me if any of you have gone through similar issues.

The fact that the company paid you less than the labor stated does NOT matter. Remember that I140 is for a future employment offer. I140 checks if you have the qualifications for the offered job and if the company can pay you the prevailing wage WHEN you get that job; and when your GC is approved. However, you company must show that at the time of filing it was ABLE to pay you the prevailing wage or more. This is easily done by supporting documents such as taxes and other financial statements.
The company does not need to pay you the prevailing wage when you file I140, but it needs to show that it could pay you such a wage if that was needed.
Any qualified immigration attorney will be easily able to overcome this RFE if the company's financial position was strong at the time you filed for labor.
You can show your W2s even with lower salary. But you must also show that the company had the resources to pay you the prevailing wage at the time labor was filed. Your attorney will write up a nice cover letter when sending out the response to your RFE. Even if the company showed net losses, but has reasonable assets that are more than the missing 8k, it can still be shown the company was able to pay you the wage.

I believe that you need the actual diploma (you send a photocopy of it to USCIS) for getting counted in the M.S. quota. Most schools give the diploma once you have finished all requirements.
How come they cannot consider my EAD, Official transcripts, Graduate status letter?
Regarding Status letter, I have seen students applying like this and getting query later. What do you say about the students graduating in May (who files like me with OPT card and status letter) and applying for H1 in April?

Non-immigrants residing in the U.S. are required to update USCIS with a change of address within 10 days of moving. As you now appear to be living in a different location "y", you should update USCIS for you and any dependents immediately.
As you are now living/residing in place "y" that is your residential address and you will need to file your AP/EAD (I-131/I-765) renewals according to your current address.
Some general instructions:

Guys,
Would it be of benefit, if USCIS sends us a notice when our petition is "Pre-adjudicated; awaiting visa number"? So, we can at least be in peace and go on with our life?
Also, I see there is a suggestion to NOT count Dependants in the VISA numbers, since they are not counted for other visa (H1) status. Its a very good suggestion. We just have to be ready with the counter-argument, if we are told, H1 Dependant is H4 and not eligible to work. However, once GC is approved, that spouse gets equivalent benefits and hence its counted.

I did a bit more reasearch and found out that, I won't loose the EB3 priority date after the EB2 I-140 approval. I will have both options (EB3 & EB2) open. I will be able to use either of them depending upon what is current at that time.

My I-140 has my employers head office address in Part 1( as petitioner/employer). My future job location in I-140 petition is different from the one I am currently working at( on H1B). My H1b and I-140 were filed for different locations.
Does anybody have an idea which address of employer should I write in the employer address section- Head office address or my current job location.

I am sorry to offend some of you by bringing up this subject again. But I think we are just asking for acknowledgement for the contribution we have made when we were attending graduate programs in the US. It was a lot of over time and hard work with literally no payment other than money for room and board. Some may get their names attached to the paper that is published and get their Green Cards quicker for that. But some don't.

1. Recapture lost visa numbers
It will need change in law. Cannot be done without senate and congress approval
2. Medical tests are going to be valid indefinitely
Possibily but cannot be a big news, especially if we are talking about near term good news
3. Ppl who've worked for X years automatically can apply for I-485

Hi Friends.
I got the pink slip 3 weeks back with one month severance. So my target was to secure the job in one month to avoid loss of pay. Finally secured the job with 3 offers from 3 top companies.
Some tips if it may be helpful to others , that I recently expereinced
1. Read your resume thoroughly and see if there are anything that you can improve and make the resume with the core skills, do not make the resume of mix of different profiles, like dba, architect, project manager, make them all seperate.
2. Try to make the submission to the direct employer or recruiter on top of the chain. You can do that finding contacts on linked in.
3. Do not compromise a lot, this makes these recruiters to think that you are vulnerable for any exploitation, (happened with me, I kicked there butt after getting selected and telling them on why did I do that)
All the best to everyone.

Eb3Retro, Did you sign G-28 initially for your (previous employer's) attorney to represent? if so how did you change the representation?
i have not changed attorney so far, just wanted to retain the same guy until i extend my EAD this time, (which is pending and awaiting results anytime soon) , once this is done, i am going to file G28 and self file AP myself. My attorney charges exorbitant fees for doing this, just for the safety sake, just for ead extn i used him...few more days and i will say thanks for all his services..
